Conan O"Brien, who really famously left NBCs "The Tonight Show with Conan O"Brien" progressing this year after a reorganization involving Jay Leno and alternate time slots, will host a new late night speak show on TBS commencement in November.
The headlines is a bit of a warn given industry watchers were betting on Conan relocating to Fox, given his people have been in negotiations with them for awhile.
Conans new show will air at 11pm, opposite "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report," both on Comedy Central. TBS already has a late night speak show at 11pm, hosted by George Lopez. Lopez will move to midnight, that is kind of droll deliberation the reason Conan left NBC to begin with was since he didnt wish his show changed to midnight. Even so, Lopez appears to be vehement to have Conan as a lead-in. In a matter from TBS, Lopez says, "I cant think of anything improved than you do my show with Conan as my lead-in. It�s the commencement of a new epoch in late-night comedy."
TBS, that front locally on Time Warner Cable channel 34, already has a short online promo running.
Conan commented on the TBS headlines in his common way: with humor. "In 3 months I�ve left from network radio to Twitter to behaving live in theaters, and right away I�m headed to simple cable. My plan is operative perfectly."
